Create a classic 60’s updos ponytail

If your feeling daring for prom this 60’s inspired retro updo could be just the thing for 2008. Its very simple, some would say too simple for prom yet its elegant and probably rather unique. This tutorial is from fordmodels.

This retro hairstyle is perfect for prom paired with 1920’s inspired ensemble. To achieve the look follow these simple steps.
  1. Wash and condition your hair using smoothing products.
  2. Pat dry your hair to remove all the excess moisture.
  3. Part your hair to one side and using a large flat brush smooth the top of your hair as you blow dry.
  4. Wait until the hair is dry and then with the smaller parting use heated rollers on one inch hair sections to create curls. Once the hair has cooled unravel each tight curl and fix in place with hairspray. Acentuate the look with a funky hair clip.
This is quite a complicated style so be sure to have a rehersal well before the big night so that your prom haircut can be perfect, also for such a big night consider having a stylist do this hairdo for you.
